After a little bit, a small Asian girl just finished talking with Julian and was trying to get out of the crowd but, like me, she couldn’t. He said to her, “You can’t get out? Okay, everyone, move!” And he parted the crowd with his two hands, Moses-parting-the-red-sea style. Everyone instantly moved and made a virtual path within the about 100 people there. As he did and she walked through, and I did too, he yelled at the top of his lungs with a mock accent, “I will cherish this moment… FOREVA!!”

“I like The Strokes. In a certain sense a lot of the music that influences us is pop music. So I always admire people who write good catchy pop songs and I think The Strokes are a great example of that. I think a lot of bands copied them in bad ways and made worse versions of it. But yeah The Strokes… It’s almost incredible how good a mind they have for writing pop songs.”
